Years ago our family bought one of the popular video games that you hook up to your television set. With each game cartridge we purchased, we received a little booklet that not only explained the game, but also offered clues to help us attain the prized goal. After several hours in front of this "monster" we realized the little booklet was not complete in its information, and for an additional $um of money we could purchase a book or magazine that offered a complete guide to the game. Needless to say, we found ourselves frustrated to discover the abscence of such important information, and we never reached the prize!

You will be happy to know that God has not treated us with such cruelty. Since God created man (Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:7), He gave man ALL of the necessary information concerning righteous living (1 Timothy 6:11-16; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17). The Bible is God's COMPLETED revelation to man (Ephesians 3:3-5; 1 Corinthians 2:9-13; 13:10). The apsotle Paul wrote, "Every Scripture inspired of God" is capable of making the man of God "COMPLETE" (1 Timothy 3:16, 17). Jude states "the faith" was ONCE FOR ALL DELIVERED" unto the saints (Jude 3). Jesus himself said, "ALL TRUTH" would be delivered to the twelve apostles and they in turn would deliver "ALL TRUTH" to us (John 13:20; 14:25; 16:13). Since God has delivered "ALL TRUTH" there is no more need for latter day revelations. All we need, to be pleasing to God is found within His Holy Word, the Bible. God's Word will undoubtedly lead us to the gates of heaven!

God clearly isntructs man not to add new doctrines to the Scriptures (2 John 9-11; Galatians 1;1-10; Revelation 22:18, 19). There is no need for additional creeds, manuals, disciplines or catechisms. These weight us down (Hebrews 12:1,2), while God's Word offers freedom! (Jaohn 1:1-14; 8:31-36).
