I am convinced if we would simply order our homes as God has given counsel our personal lives and national woes would improve hundred-fold. When God created man and woman he blessed them and declared everything to be "very good." (Gen. 1:27-31) What did God do? He first saw that man was alone and then declared this was "not good." So He determined to make man a help meet (Gen. 2:18). Jehovah took a rib from Adam's side and "made a woman, and brought her unto the man." (Gen. 2:22) "And the man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." (Gen. 2:23,24)

God created the home for man's well being. Man was lonely, so God created an appropriate companion -- WOMAN. God made no mistake. Notice He did not make another man for Adam. The male was never intended to be the male's compliment or companion. Homosexuality is sinful, unnatural and wrong (Rom. 1:26,27). The woman is created different (mentally and physically) so she might complete man and fulfill his needs. Likewise the man compliments and perfects the woman. The two become "ONE". This is God's plan.

"Because of fornications, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife her due: and likewise also the wife unto the husband" (1 Cor. 7:2-3). Please also note only one woman was presented to man, God did not bring twenty-five, ten or even two different women to Adam. God's plan was one man and one woman in a monogamous relationship. When we obey God the very richest of blessings can be obtained, yet when we disobey and follow the fleshly desires and urges (fornication, adultery, promiscuous sex, homosexuality, divorce, etc...) God is greatly displeased and we are spiritually dead.

Divorce is sinful in God's eye. Many religious leaders disregard God's commandments concerning marriage and divorce. Marriage involves three individuals: a man, a woman, and God the Creator and Designer of the home. The man and the woman agree and vow to God to establish a home. Note what Jesus, the Son of God, said about the union welded together by God; "Have ye not read, that he who made them from the beignning made them male and female, and said, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. ...And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that marrieth her when she is put away committeth adultery." (Matt. 19:4-9) After reading these words I am compelled to ask, "How can God be pleased with our nation, when our laws openly defy His teachings?" Our laws allow divorce for every reason under the sun. My dear friends, we have lost respect (fear) for God and His counsel. Just look at our ever increasing divorce rate. How can we call ourselves "Christian" when we so readily destroy our homes, and our children's foundation for life. We must return to the Bible before it's everlastingly too late!
