Christ Is Concerned For You

Christ is concerned about your soul's condition. This is proven by what He has done for us. If we were as concerned about our soul as Christ Jesus, then we would all be saved.

Jesus' LIFE indicates his concern for our soul. He humbled himself to come into this world (Philippians 2:5-11). He gave up the grandeur of heaven "to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). His life also served as an example of obedience to be followed (Hebrews 5:9; 1 Peter 2:21). We can only be saved when we completely obey the blessed message of God, thus receiving His marvelous Grace. His life was also sinless. How many of us are so concerned about our soul's salvation that we diligently strive to be free from sin? Jesus is concerned. Too many people try to excuse their sin away as physical ailment or mental deficiency. Others tell us "we just can't help it". Jesus' humanity proves that reasoning to be wrong. We can say no to sin; we can resist.

Jesus' DEATH proves his concern for our soul. He came to this world for the sole purpose of dying and atoning our sins (Romans 5:6-11). This action alone shows His great concern for the soul of sinners (John 3:16). "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do the things I command you" (John 15:13,14).

Jesus' RESURRECTION also manifests a great regard for the sinners soul. He was raised for our justification (salvation) (Romans 4:25). "...Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9,10). If you are sincerely concerned about your soul's salvation and really believe Jesus is the Christ, then you will obey whatever he commands: Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3), confess your faith in Him (Matthew 10:32,33), and be baptized so that your sins might be washed away (Mark 16:16). Are you as concerned as Jesus the Christ about your soul's salvation? Then obey Him today!

Why Is Christ So Concerned For Your soul?

He cares about your soul because of its GREAT VALUE. the soul is the most important part of man. James teaches that the spirit of man gives him life (James 2:26). Jesus taught the soul is worth more than all the world. "for what shall a man be profited if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?" (Matthew 16:26) Man's priorities are disarranged, and Jesus is concerned. Man seems to value the less than important, while forfeiting the most important. The soul is the only thing that will survive beyond this world.

Jesus is concerned about your soul because of it GREAT PERIL. All men have sinned (Romans 3:23), and sin kills the soul (Romans 6:23; Ezekiel 18:20). The sinful will not inherit heaven (Isaiah 59:1,2) -- thus Jesus cares and wants all to be saved. Jesus taught that only those who obey His Father will be saved. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21). Saving the soul is more important than being healed from sickness, having wealth or even physical life itself. Jesus wishes for us to recognize the danger our soul is in and come out of it (Luke 13:3).

Jesus cares for your soul because of its GREAT DESTINY -- Heaven or Hell (Matthew 25:30-35). Heaven is prepared for those who allow Christ into their lives. It is a place where the child of God assembles around the throne of God and worships for an eternal day. It is a place of eternal joy, bliss and rest. Hell, on the other hand, is a horrific place prepared for Satan and his servants. This torment is unbearable, for the man who rejects Christ in this life iwll forever anguish in regret. He will long to go back and make changes -- but it will be too late. Jesus is so concerned for your soul that he died to save it and now stands at your heart begging, pleading, knocking and earnestly urging you to open your heart and let Him in. "I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him , and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20). There is a stranger at your door -- Let him in, for he cares deepely for your soul.
