The Importance of Confession
Confession is an essential element of man's salvation. Paul declares, "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Rom. 10:10).
Confession is an open declaration by way of speaking out freely. It is the effect of deep conviction in the fact that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, the Son of the living God. (Read Acts 8:26-40).
Jesus made it easy to understand when He said, "Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven" (Matt. 10:32,33).
Although many refuse to confess Christ, we are assured, "As I live saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess to God" (Rom. 14:11). Why not confess your faith in christ and obey his will today? Don't wait until it is too late!
